An opportunity for Industry Representatives to present directly to 101 audience. Industry Representatives will be allocated a 10 minute slot of the session to present about the role they play in the industry, why they think mainframe is a good career choice and opportunities they have such as summer placements and graduate schemes etc.

  • Chris Poole at IBM UK LTD.
  • Dr. Chris Poole is a Senior Inventor and Software Engineer in the CICS Development team at IBM, working on CICS Cloud and DevOps technologies. Prior to joining the CICS team, he worked on IBM's API Management solution, and on software to administer DataPower appliances. Before joining IBM, Chris worked in research, and holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics.

  • Keith Banham at Macro 4 Limited
  • Keith has worked in IT for over 35 years and is the R&D Manager at Macro 4 responsible for the company's mainframe suite of products. Keith started out as an Assembler programmer at a major bank and during his 29 years at Macro 4 has worked on many of the company’s solutions for application lifecycle management, application performance management, document management and session management. Part of his current role is the modernisation of these solutions by building new Web, Eclipse, and mobile interfaces, as well as the modernisation of Macro 4’s internal mainframe development environments.

  • Stan Hoey at Precisely Limited
  • Stan has worked in IBM mainframes across most disciplines for over 40 years. While at IBM, Stan was a DB2 specialist supporting IBM’s internal DB2 systems and providing consultancy services to many IBM customers. He co-authored the first DB2 disaster recovery Redbook and contributed to the DB2 product manuals. For most of the last 20 years, Stan was the product manager for DL/2, a transparent IMS to DB2 application migration product from Circle Computer Group in Brighton and worked on successful DL./2 migration projects across many industries and geographies Since Syncsort’s acquisition of Circle in 2013, Stan has established and led the EMEA Customer Support organisation and most recently has played a major role in assimilating William Data Systems into the Syncsort family.

  • Mark Wilson at BMC Mainframe Services
  • Mark is the Technical Director at RSM Partners a leading IBM business partner. Mark started his mainframe career in 1980 as a trainee computer Operator. Since then Mark has enjoyed many different roles working for customers and business partners alike. Mark is the Chairman of the GSE Large Systems Working Group and GSE UK Conference Manager.
