Managing Grandpa’s Data: Mainframe Storage Administration for the Modern User

Every day, Mainframe Storage Administrators deal with heterogenous environments of RAID and tape systems from multiple vendors. CA Vantage Storage Resource Manager helps storage administrators monitor the state and capabilities of their storage systems using a variety of clients. This presentation shows how the Web Client is transforming the every day work of storage administrators at all levels. The Web Client’s new graphing feature visualizes storage data in real-time, faster and clearer than ever before. It also enables advanced differential analysis based on a selected region of interest across storage groups, volumes and tapes libraries.
