The Extended RBA/LRSN

Presentation

The 6-byte RBA/LRSN presents a challenge to many customers, and the 10-byte RBA/LRSN introduced in DB2 11 addresses these challenges once and for all. This presentation explains how to identify if you are faced with those challenges, and how to implement extended RBA/LRSN support safely. You will understand the impact on utilities and on recovery, and the potential for performance benefits for customers who experience LRSN spinning.
