CICS and zIIP : MIPS or Myths?

Presentation

What are zIIPs? How do these specialty engines work with CICS? Can I really use zIIPs to reduce my CPU usage? How do I design and code my CICS Java application to optimize zIIP usage? With more and more Java applications being deployed into z/OS, many of them in CICS, businesses can exploit IBM z Systems Integrated Information Processors, or zIIPs to lower costs. In this session, we will dispel some of the myths around zIIPs, and show how they can benefit your CICS Java workloads and lower monthly software licence charges.
