Dom has worked in IT at Barclays since 1996. His mainframe roles began in 1997, initially as an Operations Analyst for Customer System application, before doing the same role for Branch Accounting application. He became an DB2 and IMS DBA in 2003, and in 2005 speicialising in IMS. Dom has been involved with quite a few IMS projects over the years including converting our utilities to a specific vendor, shared queues, various IMS releases from Version 6 onwards, and recently installing and converting our recovery utility to Database Recovery Facility (DRF). Dom has developed some Cobol and mainly assembler programming skills as part of his mainframe IMS DBA role.
