CICS Deploying CICS Regions with the z/OS Provisioning Toolkit

(GL)

Stream: CICS
Time: 12:00 - 13:00

Presentation

The z/OS Provisioning Toolkit increases developer productivity by enabling self-service provisioning of customized z/OS development environments, and the ability to deprovision them when they are no longer required.

In this session we will focus on provisioning and deprovisioning of CICS regions using the toolkit. We will see how the toolkit is used in combination with capabilities in z/OSMF, to provide controlled self service provisioning. Learn how a systems programmer can easily customize an IBM provided CICS template, to provision regions that meet their companies standards and naming conventions. See how an application developer can encapsulate application configuration in an image and use that image in combination with the system programmer provided template, to provision a customized CICS region.
