This session is a technical introduction to the IBM z14 ZR1 and LinuxONE Rockhopper II, the newest members of the IBM Z family announced on April 10, 2018. The z14 ZR1/LR1 has a new form factor based on a 19" rack. This session will cover the hardware details of the new z14 including the model structure, design, processor unit design, cache organization, memory offerings, installation planning including enhancements announced for the z14 family of Servers on October 2, 2018.
