Capacity Planning activity is crucial in shaping these plans. Outcome of the capacity planning are reliable and timely forecasting reports on the resources needed to ensure continuous availability and compliance with service level commitments for business-critical applications. In this session you will learn how the new IBM Offering, IBM Z Decision Support for Capacity Planning, will help you in this activity.

  • Domenico D’Alterio is the IBM Offering Manager focused on IBM z IT Operational Analytics products (including IBM Common Data Provider for z Systems). He is responsible for product direction and market success of IBM Common Data Provider for z Systems, Tivoli Asset Discovery for z/OS and Tivoli Decision Support for z/OS as well as contributing to the product strategy for IBM Workload Scheduler for z/OS product. Prior to his current role, Domenico covered different managerial positions in IBM Development and Customer support organization. Domenico joined IBM in 1999. Starting as designer, moved to a managerial role in 2006, acting as Development and Customer Support manager in the former Tivoli division of IBM. He graduated in Electronic Engineering, in Italy.
