Presentation

Following on from the presentation "Thinking about concealing your gender identity as a woman on a resume?” our speakers will be joined on a panel to explore this, and other related topics further. The session will be chaired by Una Cosgrave, AIB, and will be facilitated by Aileen Wynne, Chair of the WIT Stream.

  • Aileen Wynne at Allied Irish Bank, P.l.c.
  • Aileen Wynne is a mainframe systems programmer with AIB, with over 25 years’ experience in systems programming, networks, storage, and z/OS. She is an IBM Champion, a Fellow of the Irish Computer Society and an active member of WITS Ireland. She has been part of the GSE UK team since 2016 and founded the WITS stream at the GSE UK Conference in 2017. Outside of mainframes, she has a passion for family history and genetic genealogy.

  • Donna Hudi at Phoenix Software International
  • Donna has more than 30 years of financial service, technology, marketing, and executive management experience spanning the asset management, software development, consulting, and non-profit industries. Prior to joining Phoenix Software as their Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Business Development, she served as the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for SHARE Association, the first and largest independent technology association user group. Prior to joining SHARE, she served in various leadership positions where she provided a wide‐range of strategic, technology, operational, and marketing guidance and support. Donna has been involved with the Open Mainframe Project since she was the Executive Director for SHARE Association and has continued during her tenure at Phoenix Software. She has been a member of the OMP Marketing Committee since 2019 and currently serves as the Chair of that committee.

  • Mark Wilson at Vertali Limited
  • Over 40+ years of Technical IT experience, with a broad range of skills, the majority of which was gained in hands-on technical roles, performing a variety of duties in diverse and complex environments. The majority of Mark’s experience is focused on IBM mainframe systems, where he performs as an Architect, Technician and Project Manager. Mark’s specialist subject is IT Security, in particular, z/OS and associated subsystem (CICS, DB2, MQ, etc) security with RACF, ACF2 or Top Secret installed.

  • Eleni Plakopiti at Broadcom Mainframe Software
  • As a seasoned Scrum Master and Agile Coach at Broadcom, she brings a wealth of experience and a passion for empowering women in IT. Her strong professional background includes 5 years as a Scrum Master, and then transitioning to Agile Coach. She specializes in professional coaching, particularly empowering women in the workplace. After a triumphant 15-year battle against an eating disorder, she redirected her life toward Psychology and life coaching. Her story underscores the transformative power of resilience and determination. Now, her mission is to inspire and guide others on their paths of recovery and self-discovery.

  • Swathi Javvaji at Broadcom Mainframe Software
  • As a Product Owner for Broadcom, Swathi is responsible for translating product managers' strategies to development tasks and learning the customers' and market's requirements. Swathi has over 16 years of experience in IT as a Developer, QA, and Business Analyst in Mainframe as well as a Modern mainframer in DevOps. She changed her stream from development to product management recently since she believes "Understanding/Listening to others' problems" is her strong forte. Swathi lives in Prague with her husband and her daughter. She has a passion for acquiring new knowledge and giving back to the community.
