Marco Cardelli, HCLSoftware - Marco Cardelli is currently the manager of Workload Automation Product Management team. Marco has been working with IBM since 1990 and on IBM Z Workload Scheduler (aka OPC) since 1995. He started on IZWS as a L3 support specialist and then joined the development team as Chief Designer starting with IZWS V8.3. During the years spent in the development team Marco has been working on the design and the implementation of many features of IBM Workload Scheduler for z/OS, such as, Workload Service Assurance, zCentric end-to-end, Run Cycle groups and Remote Hot Standby. In 2015 he became the IZWS product architect. In September 2016, as part of the new partnership agreement between IBM and HCL, he moved to the new HCLSoftware division. Since January 2017 he left the development team and joined the Workload Automation Offering team initially focused on the mainframe product and then on the whole portfolio. In 2024 he changed his role to be the manager of them Offering team. Marco has a degree in mathematics and enjoys playing guitar with his band in his free time.
