Db2 for z/OS 101: Db2 and WLM

(7K)

Stream: Virtual Room 7
Time: 15:00 - 16:00

Presentation

There are many subsystems in z/OS that work with Db2 and Workload Manager (WLM) is a very important one! Do you know how they work together? WLM is a component of z/OS that manages incoming work requests for the operating system and allocates resources to meet those requests. We will take a look at how WLM manages Db2 address spaces and Db2 stored procedures, how WLM will prioritize resources, and how WLM service class definitions impact Db2 workloads!
