DevOps Tomorrow: Interfacing a Robot with an IBM Z Server

(CB)

Stream: Linux on z
Time: 14:10 - 15:10

Presentation

A new way to work with Linux z System/LinuxONE systems. Many of you heard about topics like Hybrid Cloud, IBM Bluemix, Cognitive Systems but have you already seen it in action ? This presentation will demonstrate the value/differentiators of LinuxONE Systems/ Linux z System in such an environment. This presentation cover cloud Infrsturcture-as-a-Service u pto Platform-as-as-Service through the VMWare vRealize Automation integration with IBM LinuxONE System. The live demonstration part will consist in a Node.js application (named "AWAP") capable, through a simple chatbot, to provide cloud services using Linux z System through a conversation using IBM Watson APIs in Bluemix.
We will conclude the session with an extension of the demonstration into Hybrid Cloud and microservices. We will use a docker image of AWAP running on IBM Bluemix (Public Cloud) and deploying cloud services to our Linux z Systems/ LinuxONE Systems (Private Cloud).
