(NK)

Stream: Batch/Workload Scheduling
Time: 10:45 - 11:45

Presentation

As Agile development practices advance systems in wonderful and innovative ways, the efficient running of our batch schedules becomes a constraint that can impact system stability, maintainability and overall cost. Mainframe shops run superb scheduling packages such as IWS, CA-7, Control-M and more, where skilled specialists are involved in building and maintaining their schedules. Times are changing and business must evolve their approach to batch job processing. This session will highlight key batch processing challenges and discuss approaches we can all explore to re-energise our batch processing capabilities.
