She is member of the board of directors for the British Computer Society, and latterly on the board of directors for WISE. Her long involvement with Women in IT includes; supporting industry and academia on diversity, chairing BCSWomen, and leading the European Taskforce for Women in IT for CEPIS. Gillian won the 2012 Cisco/Everywoman award for 'Technology Inspiration of the Year', was entered into the Computer Weekly ‘Women in IT Hall of Fame’ in 2017 and in the Female FTSE Board Report 2018, 100 Women to Watch.
Anna Shugol is a mainframe technical specialist, started her career with IBM Russia in 2011 and later has joined IBM UK. Working predominantly with financial services sector, she focuses both on traditional and new workloads, ensuring wider adoption of Blockchain technology among existing and new clients.
Since 2017 Anna is on assignment at IBM Montpellier Blockchain Center of Competency, in France.
Marna Walle is a Senior Technical Staff Member from the z/OS Development organization in IBM Systems in Poughkeepsie, New York. Some of her current responsibilities include z/OS release migration and installation improvements. Marna is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology, and is a frequent speaker at customer conferences
Meredith is the Director of z/OS ISVs, Community Engagement and Skills for IBM z Systems helping to build a strong z Systems community and talent pipeline. She and her team work with universities, students, professional developers and partners around the world to expand the solution portfolio and build critical skills needed in the marketplace by IBM and the broader community. Much of her background is in the Business Intelligence and analytics field where she has worked as a business analyst, enterprise implementation consultant, program manager and as the leader for Business Analytics technical and sales enablement. She has extensive knowledge and practical experience with the broad range of IBM software solutions and the business applications of those solutions and a passion for building communities.
Denise Mortimer is a Positive Psychologist having completed her post graduated studies at the University of East London. Having always looked on the ‘bright side of life’ she was delighted when she found a Master’s Degree in Applied Positve Psychology to enable her to back up her innate good nature and practices with academic evidence to support why Positive Psychology is good for not only us as individual, but for society as whole. Originally from New York, she now lives in London. She spends her time as a Life Coach and Business Mentor as well as doing public speaking engagements to extol the virtues of Positive Psychology to anyone who’s willing to listen and implement ideas to create a happier planet.
