Zowe is an open source project that contains core content in its releases for z/OS system programmers and developers through its command line interface, its API mediation layer and its Web Desktop. All of these are extensible allowing new command line plugins to be added, new API servers, and new user interfaces. The extension could be by a software company or vendor who has an existing z/OS tool they wish to onboard to Zowe or by a customer's IT department wishing to build their own in-house customizations. This talk will cover how to extend Zowe with demos and tutorials as well discuss the Zowe conformance program and ideas in flight to create an "app-store" experience for Zowe plugins. The talk will also cover the benefits of extending Zowe such as single sign-on, multi factor authentication,
