Many experienced IMS DBAs are nearing retirement and companies are often replacing them with less experienced people who need to support more than one DBMS, the so called “universal DBA”, who may support IMS and Db2. These newer DBAs want a new approach to IMS change management that uses a modern user interface and scripted workflows. This session looks at a possible approach to address this need while also providing some benefits to experienced DBAs.
