Elaine is a Lecturer in Computing at Manchester Metropolitan University and takes responsibility for supporting a mainframe tailored digital apprenticeship. We have a Manchester Metropolitan IBM mainframe environment that Elaine uses to lead university units for the apprenticeship on COBOL, CICS and associated mainframe skills. Elaine was employed as a mainframe analyst/programmer in a home shopping company for 9 years. She returned to university in 2010 and completed an MSc in Artificial Intelligence followed by a PhD in computing at the University of Leeds.
