This new technology - IBM Data Privacy Passports - is a data centric audit and protection (DCAP) solution that protects and enforces appropriate use of data after it leaves the system of record. That system of record can be anywhere, eg Oracle, Hybrid Cloud, Z etc.. This data centric security solution enables eligible data to play an active role in its own protection. It lets you implement field level data protection to protect that data throughout its life-cycle.
Instead of using multiple different solutions for data protection across platforms, you can use Data Privacy Passports to consolidate protection of all data. By configuring an appropriate protection policy you can reduce the risks associated from a security breach and address wider compliance requirements.
Data Privacy Passports use cases include :
• Meet regulatory and compliance mandates, and manage compliance by tracking, monitoring and reporting on how data is being used
• Reduce the enterprise risk and impact of collecting and storing sensitive data
• Control data sharing and usage on a need-to-know basis using a central control policy
Additionally, Andy will introduce some developing concepts of 'Confidential Computing' and Homomorphic Encryption.
