SQL Assurance - A new perspective What if we could follow DevOps and Agile/Lean best practices to ensure that Bad SQL is discovered when it is created rather than waiting until Acceptance Test or worse Production? There are multiple tools and process that help us deliver better code and find problems earlier in the life cycle through the DevOps CI/CD process. However, SQL changes are especially challenging as it is Db2 environment specific. There may be different coding standards used in development that are not allowed in production, and the volume of data is typically vastly different on the route to live from Unit Test to Acceptance Test to Production.
