Creative Thinking Brainware Upgrade
The most effortless session in the history of GSE.
The session relies on a technique used by Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Albert Einstein, and Olympians: visualisation. We’ll use guided visualisation to carbonate your creative juices.
All you do is listen and follow along. Easy peasy. And powerful wowerful.
You do need to do some quick preparation beforehand:
· Wear something warm or throw a blanket over yourself. Sometimes people find they start to feel chilly during guided visualisation.
· Position yourself so you can relax fully. Avoid perching on an exercise ball, kneeling chair, or other seat where you have to keep muscles engaged. I usually just lie down, but it’s up to you.
Whom won’t it work for:
· Anyone who is driving: seriously, not appropriate. Guided visualisation tends to lead to a mild trance state. Do not drive, operate heavy machinery, sign cheques, or basically do anything you shouldn’t do if you’re drunk.
· People who need to multitask. Clear out the kids/dogs, close other apps, and put your phone on airplane mode.
What to expect:
· Feel mellow and relaxed.
· Many people find they feel refreshed, as if they’ve had a good rest.
· Subtlety, results that gently pop up when you may not be expecting them. I ran this session for a group of management consultants. Immediately afterwards, one said it hadn’t worked for her. She explained, “I was trying to follow what you were saying, but I couldn’t concentrate because lots of ideas kept popping into my mind.” Best. Complaint. Ever.
