Is treating everyone the same the same as treating everyone equally?

There are many initiatives for women in tech, girls in STEM, and so on, but why are the numbers not rising more rapidly?  In this session Sharon will talk about equality and the Collaborating with Men study by Cambridge University.  She'll discuss the danger of bias, the importance of networks and belonging and a few lessons from her career and her role.

She has found herself in the Computer Weekly Top 50 Women of Influence since 2016, rising to number 18 in 2019.
