OpenShift on Z: Practical Experience, Another Year On

(2AA)

Stream: Virtual Room 2
Time: 09:00 - 10:00

Presentation

Malcolm will cover his continuing practical experience of configuring OpenShift on Z clusters for customers and running the OpenShift environment on the Zeus system used by universities across EMEA. He will provide some suggestions and recommendations for real-life use of OpenShift. Some of the content will remain from last year's GSE presentation and some will be new, covering changes and enhancements to OpenShift that have arrived in the last year.

Earlier this year, Malcolm put the Zeus OpenShift cluster into production for an assessed project for the students at the university where he lectures and the presentation will also cover knowledge and recommendations derived from that experience.

This session is aimed at those who are running or intending to run OpenShift clusters on Z and are interested in the real-life practicalities and issues that are sometimes difficult to find or recognise as important in all the documentation. It is not an introduction to OpenShift itself, nor does it describe how to install or do basic configuration of an installed OpenShift cluster.
