In our presentation we would like to share our vision on how to build modern desktop applications which interact with mainframe systems.
We will demonstrate working with datasets, JES, USS in an open source plugin which interacts with the mainframe via z/OSMF REST API.
Additionally, we will cover:-
- how we built the interface,
- how to use z/OSMF REST API efficiently without sending thousands of ambiguous requests.
-Tools, libraries, frameworks that we used in the development process
Valentine has been working at IBA Group since 2021, his current position being java/kotlin and js Developer. He is engaged in Z stack development, DevOps building, developing intellij-based plugin, ETL Spark code development, Airflow DAGs development on python for scheduling spark jobs. In addition. Past years, He solved problems of developing, building and testing backend and infrastructure of zOS and intellij platform.
. Uladzislau has been working at IBA Group since 2018, his current position is Software Developer. He works on IBM CustomPac Web project for 2 years. He is engaged in Z stack and Web development in bundle. Uladzislau is inspired by the JS programming language. Mostly, he works with back-end technologies, such as Node.js, PostgreSQL, etc. His experience also includes working with front-end technologies, such as Vue.js, Carbon components, etc. He likes to try something new. The main thing he likes to work with is Functional programming concepts. He has experience in such things as Ramda.js, Crocks.js, he also knows main principles of FP and actively introduces them into his code. Uladzislau solved a lot of bugs and issues on his project for past two years, and right now he continues to work with CustomPac. Current activities: -Developing new Web application for CustomPac project (full-stack) -Problem solving in project DevOps structure -Support of CustomPac production applications
