This presentation will cover best practices for DB2 z/OS housekeeping, which includes
REORG, RUNSTATS, REBIND performed by Db2 administrators.
(1) when, how frequently and what shall trigger REORG/RUNSTATS to be run
(2) what syntax shall be used for REORG/RUNSTATS
(3) REBIND strategy, how to do it safely and with minimal impact to running applications
Those best practices are based on customer's scenarios and results from 360 Db2 for z/OS Continues Availability Assessment Studies which are routinely performed by Db2 z/OS SWAT team, which Michal is part of, under John Campbell's guidance.
