IBM z/OS Transparent Cloud Tiering - What's New and Improved

(7AQ)

Stream: Virtual Room 7
Time: 15:30 - 16:30

Presentation

Transparent Cloud Tiering (TCT) provides unique synergies between DFSMS and DS8000 to radically evolve the mainframe archive and backup space with an extremely efficient method to move data directly from the DS8000 to object storage which also includes the TS7700 Virtualization Engine.   This efficiency is designed to reduce capital and operating expenses in the data center.  The speakers in this session will go over customer use cases as well as new capabilities across DFSMS, DS8000 and TS7700.
