IBM TS7700 as a DS8000 Object Store: New features and deep dive

(7AW)

Stream: Virtual Room 7
Time: 15:30 - 16:30

Presentation

IBM is revolutionizing the way we handle mainframe backup and archive processes with Transparent Cloud Tiering for DS8000. TCT offers great efficiencies by taking advantage of using object storage as the format of that data. Now consider using the TS7700 as the object storage target for TCT. All at the same time being able to continue to use the TS7700 for FICON attached tape processing. This session will highlight exciting new enhancements to this feature and provide a more in-depth look at the TS7700 as an object store.
