Many firms have recognised a need for bringing new generations of talent onto the Z platform. For some companies the challenge is an aging workforce, for others it's leveraging new technologies as platforms converge. This talk highlights the lessons learned from a project to recruit a large pool of new mainframers for companies with technology centres in Denmark. The aims and assumptions of our project are described as well as the different approaches used, responses of the companies and the overall success of the project. This session will include Q&A and those considering the most effective ways to recruit and train new staff may learn from our experiences.
