The IBM mainframe platform still is widely unknown or perceived as an outdated technology in academia as well as in the startup scene. And this despite its hugh potential as a Blockchain and AI platform, in particular for regulated industries. In this talk, the speaker presents his approach to change this perception and shares his views on contemporary mainframe education, both from the perspectives of a long-time academic mainframe educator as well as the co-founder of the few mainframe-centric startup companies in the world.
