This presentation covers several techniques that can be adopted to optimize transactions received through IMS Connect and OTMA to help increase throughput. Nowadays, organizations are implementing cloud-based enterprise applications, API’s, and TCP/IP applications that are interfacing with IMS Connect to access data residing in IMS databases, without modifying legacy applications on the mainframe. This has increased the volume of messages received by IMS Connect and OTMA. In a competitive business world, it becomes necessity to keep mainframe interfaces and environments optimized, in order to save operating and hardware upgrade costs.
