This session will provide a technical and practical viewpoint on Cyber Resiliency for IBM Z based on the presenters experience working with Z clients over the last several years. It will discuss how the differences between z/OS and distributed environments have driven the IBM approach to Cyber Vault and the storage, server and software technologies that are part of this.

Nick is a Distinguished Engineer in the IBM Systems Division focussing on Enterprise Storage and storage integration with IBM server platforms. He also works with a number of clients on their storage strategy and advising them on their deployment of IBM storage technology. He is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology and is the author of several whitepapers and redbooks in the area of enterprise storage and resilience solutions. He is regarded as one of the world experts in IBM storage technology and holds a number of patents in these areas. Nick graduated from Trinity College Cambridge in 1994 with a degree in Mathematics and has previously worked both outside IBM and in the IBM services organisation in the areas of parallel sysplex, performance and enterprise storage.
