Surgical recovery for your Cyber Vault

(MH)

Stream: Vale
Time: 11:45 - 12:45

Presentation

Due to the rising impact and threat from ransomware and other cyber-attacks, companies want the protection necessary to prevent bad actors from taking control of data and extorting large ransoms.  The Cyber Vault solution will provide the level of protection that companies need to protect their data assets. Once the system is restarted in the Cyber Vault, there may be a need to recover data from multiple copies for forensics.  But most hardware-based solutions lack a data set perspective, and many types of data cannot be surgically recovered from the Cyber Vault if a data set was open at the time of the copy.  In order for Cyber Vault to deliver on both recovery and forensic requirements, there needs to be a means of surgically recovering “ANY” data set from any copy.  This session will discuss these types of data and how surgical recovery of data sets with IBM Z Batch Resiliency can help to overcome this problem when recovering the system in the Cyber Vault.
