For decades, organizations have relied on monitoring systems and their ability to alert us when there is a problem. However, these systems have often failed to provide the insights into why there is a problem. Observability goes hand-in-hand with monitoring to provide the “why”. In this session we will define observability and look at the requirements for an observable mainframe environment. We will discuss the need for open standards and in-depth visibility into applications, infrastructure, topology and AIOps. With real world use cases you will walk away with the critical building blocks towards an observable mainframe environment.
