Protecting data through encryption of Coupling Facility Structures

(FO)

Stream: Indianapolis
Time: 13:15 - 14:15

Presentation

The threat of data breaches in conjunction with compliance mandates are driving the need for clients to adopt extensive use of encryption across their enterprises. Clients can now protect Coupling Facility (CF) data end-to-end, using encryption that is transparent to applications. In this session, the speaker explains CF structure encryption. Why might you need it? What does it do? How does it work? What are the software and hardware requirements? How is it enabled?
