Presentation

The Application Transparent Transport Layer Security (AT-TLS) component of the IBM z/OS Communications Server has become the standard for providing TLS for mainframe applications.

This session gives an overview of AT-TLS and why it is important. We discuss the typical configuration for differing connection types, how the AT-TLS configuration maps to RACF certificates and guidance on diagnosing problems.

  • Tony is now in his 44th year of working with mainframe systems, specialising in networking and communications. Back in the day he was heavily involved in designing solutions to aid the migration from SNA and X.25 technologies to TCP/IP. 

    His career has spanned Systems Programming, Network Consultancy and System Software Development, both on mainframe and Linux systems. Many mainframe products Tony conceived, designed and developed over the last 25 years have been acquired by leading software corporations.
