This session gives an overview of IP filtering and why it should be considered for you organisation. We discuss the configuration and pitfalls to avoid and how to use the Defence Manager Daemon to dynamically disable suspicious connections.

Tony is now in his 44th year of working with mainframe systems, specialising in networking and communications. Back in the day he was heavily involved in designing solutions to aid the migration from SNA and X.25 technologies to TCP/IP.
His career has spanned Systems Programming, Network Consultancy and System Software Development, both on mainframe and Linux systems. Many mainframe products Tony conceived, designed and developed over the last 25 years have been acquired by leading software corporations.
Tony is now the Software Technical Director for Vertali Ltd.
