This is a joint session about how to be a good mentor/mentee, and how all involved parties can get the most out of this professional relationship.

The session is a collaboration between the 101, 102 and the Skills & Learning workgroups.

  • Dr. Herbert Daly at University of Wolverhampton
  • Dr Herb Daly is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at the University ofWolverhampton.  A passionate advocate for including System Z knowledge in the university curriculum, he was responsible forhis department joining the IBM Academic Initiative in February 2012. He is currently Chairman of the UKCMG, a user group for performance and capacity professionals. A recent convert to the mainframe cause, his previous roles in industry include Consultant, Software Designer,and Simulation Modelling specialist. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, a Masters degree in Software Engineering and Doctoral degree in Simulation Modelling. His most recently consulting work has been on succession planning and graduate retention.
