As this stream aims to show how to break through the ‘glass ceiling’ I would like to share my personal story of becoming woman in IT. This career journey started as technician, later combining my experience and transferring to IT manager in a very specific Mainframe world. Touching IT systems and Mainframe from Network side, contributing to in major releases (service, infrastructure improvements, high profile implementations) and doing Central Mainframe refresh as well delivering extended 24/7 oncall support. It transferred to managing projects, connecting people, trying to align and gather the group to achieve results together. Barclays Bank UK being as a core Mainframe school , moving to multi sectors HCL Technology to provide service for different Mainframe companies to latest – still Mainframe but from development angle in Rocket Software. Collection of roles being junior infrastructure specialist to Global Head of Mainframe Db2, Regional Head of Mainframe Lithuania trying the shoes of Senior Software Development Engineering Manager to side always managing project like Grow as a Leader, Woman in IT, Lean department coach or newest achievement being a mom
