With a key focus on increasing efficiency, scalability and automation to match the business growth strategies. The two most significant initiatives related to: - Scaling the Pension Auto Enrolment systems to be able grow from processing 230 thousand to 5 million customer records per month, whilst also reducing the real processing time - Transformation of the mainframe SDLC to combine tools & technologies that are knitted to drive improved engineering experience, introducing cloud and data generation to the mainframe. Enabling the creation of immutable mainframe test environments on Azure. Providing pre-canned data sets that can used/ re-used and aged automatically as well as the provision of continuous and anonymised production data sets. It will support the drive to attract the next generation to a hybrid set of technologies in the cloud, on the mainframe, embracing automation across the pipeline. Team Topologies is being adopted to transition to platform, enabling and feature teams, enabling teams to be more self-sufficient and drive agile working practises
