Is it time to consider mainframe development from a cloud IDE? Are the security risks of mainframe application source on laptops a concern? Is the drive for secure software delivery assurance critical?  Is onboarding new team members or cross platform developers with the necessary tooling immediately important? If so, a containerized cloud IDE is a serious consideration.

This session is to explore where cloud mainframe development technology is today and what it offers in today’s changing world.

• I have 20+ years of experience in the Mainframe DevOps and modernization.
• I started my career at IBM in VTAM, NetView but spent the last 20 years in mainframe development, SCM, and testing.
• In Broadcom, I lead DevOps product management and is now managing the engineering of Broadcom Mainframe Enterprise DevOps products that include Code4z, Zowe, Test Automation, and Application modernization. 
• My main interest and focus is to ensure the vitality of Mainframe for years to come by bringing modern technologies, languages and paradigms to the mainframe.
