The difference between backup and resiliency

(RN)

Stream: Systems Management
Time: 11:45 - 12:45

Presentation

What problem are you trying to recover from? That is the essential question. Even the best backups may not be enough.

Unfortunately, you may have to recover data and software components independently. Ransomware or malware attacks require both. Accidental updates probably require only programs or parameters. DRP recovery is likely the whole site. The ability to do a surgical or wholesale recovery quickly is what resiliency is all about.

This session will focus on automated solutions that can be implemented to ensure granular restore processes that have a situational focus. Driven by security and scope of attack information proper rigorous processes are required to help you achieve fast and complete recovery when time is crucial
