Mainframes are now BIG targets. Preventing an attack is full time work, and then some. The only logical solution is to implement a multi-level alerting process that is vigilant 24/7 and allows you to react before malicious perpetrators can establish command and control. However, the other option, to simply react when you have already been damaged, is even harder. Why? Because there are countless recovery scenarios and if only one is missed consequences can be catastrophic.
This session will focus on understanding various processes that can be used in consort to make mounting a destructive attack much more difficult for nefarious forces. Although no single process can guarantee success, having systems that implement complementary techniques you can stay ahead of the bad guys.
