Are you meeting your Sustainability KPIs? 

Most mainframers’ are under an increasing amount of pressure to achieve your sustainability goals, yet at the same time they are tasked with improving application performance, reducing MIPS consumption, boosting query response time, avoiding cumbersome reorgs, whilst making the most of your existing resources.

This session will explore the topic of sustainable Mainframe usage, and will cover the following questions:

 

In this session we will cover the latest trends, and examples from organisations around the world.
Answers to a multiple choice will ensure tree’s are planted for your organisation along with some ‘green’ give aways!

  • Faisal Majid at BMC Software Ltd
  • Previously working at IBM and now a part of the BMC team, Faisal has worked in Solutions Sales for 20 years. He has worked in a number of software roles specialising in IBM Cloud, Watson, Middleware and File Transfer. Faisal is also a budding investor in brands within the IT, pharma and property space as well as being a restaurant entrepreneur. Outside of work, we is a professional snooker player, having competed in a number World Snooker competitions. He is also a keen cyclist, swimmer, boxer, Brazilian Jujitsu student, kettlebell nut (Strong First certified!) and passionate about gourmet food and cooking. Following in the footsteps of his father, an aeronautical engineer, he is passionate about green initiatives: If it can be recycled or repaired, he's the man for it, with everything from cars to washing machines and toasters! A keen environmentalist, he is a part of a local recycling scheme for schools and local community programmes. He is also a strong supporter of One Tree Planted and 8 billion trees.com
