How to Create a New Mainframer in 3 Steps: How College Students Can Become a Future Specialist
Transitioning from college to a career in software development can be a daunting experience, especially when entering the mainframe space.
In this session, we will discuss my personal journey from a college student to a software developer at BMC.
We will explore how the college curriculum translated to a developer role and the major adjustments that students can expect when entering the workforce.
We will also discuss tools, products, and strategies that helped with this transition, providing insights for aspiring developers and enabling their managers.
Finally, we will share methods and strategies that help prepare and excite students that are starting a career in mainframe software development.
My name is Angelo Barone and I work for BMC Software. I’m reaching out to submit my topic for the GSE UK conference.
