Did you know you can use Rexx to issue IMS commands (including Type-2 commands). In this presentation I will provide you with everything you need to create your own Rexx program and take advantage of the OM API to communicate with IMS and build customized programs to retrieve information from IMS. I will also cover some basics of Rexx and provide a sample program to help you get started.

John O'Dowd has over 30 years of experience in z/OS mainframe environments. He has been developing software products as a Lead Product Developer for BMC Software for 25 years. He is currently the Product Line Manager for the IMS Systems Administration products. John enjoys learning new technologies and mentoring the next generation of developers.
