Writing an Assembler Exit for IMS

(BN)

Stream: 102
Time: 11:45 - 12:45

Presentation

IBM provides all kinds of callable exit routines to capture information during IMS, Db2, and other z/OS processing. Have you ever thought about writing some exit code in Assembler? In this session, I will cover the basics of writing user exit programs for IMS. You will leave this session with an understanding of what you need to write an exit in Assembler and an example to work with. While I am using IMS as an example, this technique can be used to write exits for other IBM program products such as CICS, Db2, MQ, etc.
