Advent of Code is a global challenge to coders worldwide to attempt to solve some programming challenges in the run up to Christmas. For the last few years Henri has organised a specialist leaderboard for those solving the puzzles using mainframe languages. This talk will introduce the competition and the leaderboard. With some of the wild examples from last years entries. The joy of mainframes meets the joy of problem solving with sponsorship and prizes to boot! It all kicks off in December so Lock & Load - It's the Advent of Code.

Henri Kuiper at zDevOps

Henri Kuiper is a pre Y2K Mainframe junkie. Started taking apart computers at a very young age (BBC Micro's Anyone?) and never stopped his love for 'taking things apart' (and mostly putting them back together too). He's currently RACF Security Engineer at DTO, Technical Coordinator for the Dutch region of Guide Share Europe, IBM Champion for z Systems, owner of zDevOps.com and loves all things IT :)
