A look at human intelligence and how the human brain works

(CG)

Stream: AI
Time: 10:15 - 11:15

Presentation

One of the aims of artificial intelligence is to emulate and then surpass human intelligence. This presentation will look at the human brain and see the way it has developed the level of intelligence we are used to today. This presentation looks at brain structure (including amygdala, hippocampus, thalamus, hypothalamus, mirror neurons, neurons, glial cells, synapses, and neurotransmitters), the intellectual and emotional parts of the brain, habits and basal ganglia, and how things can go wrong in the brain. We'll also look at ideas about human intelligence. Hopefully, there will be plenty of ideas for people to take away with them.
