Meredith is the Vice President of IBM Z Ecosystem helping to build skills and a strong community of partners for IBM Z. She and her team work with clients, universities, students, professional developers and business partners around the world to broaden the IBM Z ecosystem of solutions and build critical skills needed in the marketplace. She also leads developer outreach activities including hackathons, meetups, and trial programs to increase awareness of the platform and ignite innovation. Meredith has worked with a broad range of IBM software solutions and much of her background is in the analytics field where she has worked as a business analyst, enterprise implementation consultant, program manager and leader for Business Analytics technical and sales enablement.
Announced as VP of IBM Z Software in July 2022, Skyla has been a part of the IBM Z Software team for the last 6 years, leading product management, development, support, and services for the Z Application Platform team since 2020, and IMS and z/TPF before that. Additionally, Skyla has been at the lead of application and data modernization strategy, bringing new offerings to market such as the IBM Z and Cloud Modernization Stack.
She has also been a pivotal leader in z/OS cloud native development initiatives including Ansible for z/OS and led early partnerships with Hyperscalers (including AWS) which is driving broader industry support for our hybrid cloud message of Z and cloud. She’s been with IBM 20 years and held development leadership roles across public cloud, mobile, business analytics, data warehousing, and NoSQL.

She has had significant experience in driving large transformation engagements, integrating Run and Change to transform businesses. She sets the strategic direction for next-generation digital transformation and modernization themes to drive high-impact outcomes for IBM clients. She has a proven track record in helping clients develop new applications utilizing the IBM Garage Method and cloud-native development approaches to realize the full potential of their digital initiatives in the enterprise.
