John McKenny is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intelligent Z Optimization and Transformation (IZOT) for BMC Software, Inc. He has P&L responsibility for the company’s suite of industry-leading Automated Mainframe Intelligence (AMI) solutions. John joined BMC in 1995 as a member of the R&D team and has been promoted to various senior leadership positions during his tenure. He was a director of mainframe R&D, went on to be chief of staff for the company’s chief operating officer, and has also led nearly every function in the IZOT business, including strategy, R&D, product management, customer service, and marketing. Prior to joining BMC, John spent 15 years in various technical, management, and IT consulting roles in the transportation and insurance industries.
