There is a storm sweeping through the tech industry. Mainframe, in many ways, is in the eye of the storm, with an ageing workforce and new workers unconvinced and unaware that mainframe skills offer a bright future for them.
Research from CompTIA found that over three quarters (79%) of organisations are pursuing initiatives to address these gaps amid a tightening market for IT labour. But are they doing the right thing? Businesses need to do more to make the case that mainframe is a career with opportunities aplenty, and they need to do it now. In this session, Mike Pennaz, Head of Mainframe Strategy Integration and Practice at Ensono, and Claire Connor, Senior Mainframe Solutions Architect at Ensono, will provide attendees with a deep dive into what a career in mainframe has to offer and how businesses can make this a reality.
